My Silhouette frameless glasses frame broke few days before I left U.S. I had the new frame shipped to me the night before my flight. After landed, I tried to find a shop to transfer the original lens to my new frame. I first walked into the Formosa across the street of this shop (for I had a pair done there few years ago.) They checked my old record and confirmed that I was a customer however polite rejected to do the work. The clerk who rejected for ”risk of damage”. Then I saw this shop across the street so I walked in.

The owner, 50s gentleman was very polite and immediately told me that they could do it for sure. I went back two days later and the glasses were all done and polished like new. And when I asked to pay.. the owner told me ”no cost.. small issue.” I know that it is not a super easy work to put lens on the Silhouette. It does require certain skill to make it right. It can be easily a 30 minutes or more work. This shop not only have the skill, they have the old fashion warmth and hospitality. We I asked the owner how much the same frame costed here, I found that his price was the same I got from the cheapest site in U.S., and with no hassle, in one day.

I had to fight to pay for the labor. I insisted to pay..the owner said 5NT ($0.15:))). I forced over 500NT however could not win at all.. he ended up took 100NT ($3.30) and insisted me to take the remaining back.

I am touched…. I will go back for sure. I hope you will try this place, too.
