A honest, caring and customer-oriented optician, exactly like the name – the model optician.
The family run business made my eyewear shopping a tailored experience rather than a clueless chore. I walked in expected to pick up some contact lenses but ended up ordering a new pair of glasses ? because the owner/optician was so genuine and detailed with my eye examinations. He utilised both the machine (typically found in eye doctor’s office) and the old school model (reading letters and numbers from a projection) to get the most accurate readings, explained the costs of different types and degrees of lenses and recommended lenses that may go well with the thickness of the lenses, my style and my budget.
You could tell the owner wanted you to walk away with not just a new pair of glasses but a new air of confidence that comes with wearing the right accessories that serves your needs.
TL;DR: the optician to visit if you don’t want to be lied to
